Happy Holidays

Well we are nearly there, hope you are ready or almost ready, i'm in the almost ready camp!! This year has flown by, i haven't gotten around to all those things i wanted to but it's been a hectic year, new baby granddaughter amongst other things has kept me very busy indeed (but a nice busy). Those things i wanted to do will still be there, what matters is that you and those closest to you are happy and well.

Please stop by and let me know what you are doing for the holidays, ours will be spent at home with family, hoping to chill out and of course sometime for knitting would be nice :o)

Glove time again!

Hi all, hope everyone is ok, or at least feeling better than i am today. Not having a good day so decided to have a nice cup of tea and have a look at some of your wonderful blogs. I'm currently knitting another fingerless glove you may remember (or not) i knitted them for DD2 who loved them and so did all her friends but guess what? she losted one so here we go again but hey it's a nice pattern and it's only one!

Well hello everyone, how are you today? I seem to be saying the same thing over and over agin and that is how sorry i am for not posting for so long but life, homelife, work just about everything has taken over. I'd promise to get better at posting but hey i think i've said that before, so watch this space :0}

I won!

Just look at this beautiful yarn, i won this in a free prize draw over at www.wildfirefibres.etsy.com and it's gorgeous. I can now sit back and think what i would like to knit with it :0) Do pop over to the shop and have a look around, there are some really nice things, i know you will get carried away. At the moment i am trying to knit my washcloths for xmas pressies, do some charity knitting and now this yarn has arrived! there just isn't enough hours in the day.... Take care. x

Work in progress

Hi there, this is one of my current WIP and it's for myself.
A short sleeved cardigan knitted in Sublime Soya Cotton, DK , it's a lovely yarn to knit with but i haven't done as much as i would of liked, having a new granddaughter in the house has put my knitting on the back burner for now. Hoping to get back to my knitting soon and will keep you up to date of my progress.

Weather

We've had lovely weather here recently and it's been great to finally get oudoors and enjoy the garden, both for chilling out, reading and garending :) It's been too hot to do any knitting though, but did manage to take some photos of my roses, hope you like. Hope you've had good weather in your part of the world and been able to get out and about. It is a little cooler here this morning so who knows what the day will bring :0) knitting i hope. Will try and post photos of current WIP's next time, enjoy the rest of the week and take care. x

I'm a Grandma!!

Hi everyone, things have been really hectic at this end, I have become a Grandma. Mum and baby are doing well but what alot of changes a little person brings to your life (don't you forget). Must try and get back to my knitting now, so much to do and so little time, will try my best to keep posting and keep you up to date with how things are.

Naughty blogger

I cannot believe it's so long since i last posted, i am so naughty and very sorry indeed. Things have been very hectic here and i don't know where the time goes, if you do please let me know :)
I have been looking (when i've had time) at alot of other blogs recently and there are some fantastic ones out there, so i have decided i need to be more organised and i also need a routine to help me post more. The other blogs i have been looking at have given me a lot to think about, some people post once a week on the same day, or post when they have a photo to share, others have competitions or giveaways. So i am going to have a think about this and will let you know soon what i decide (well i've got to do something) I also get a little bit downhearted when i see so many wonderful blogs out there, i think mine will never be that good and then don't bother with a post at all. So i will be in touch soon. Take care.

SORRY

So sorry for not posting on here for so long, well there goes one of my new year plans to blog more. Things have been really mad and the time has just slipped by (too much to do and so little time). On the knitting front i have taken the plunge and ordered a starter sock kit (having read about socks for so long on the AY forum) well it arrived on Saturday and i have made a start. I got into trouble straight away when trying to 'knit in the round' the ladies on the forum soon put me on the right track and i have done the ribbing :-) I will post a pic soon so you can see where i am up to, don't forget it's my first sock, so no laughing allowed.

New Year Plans

Sorry i haven't posted recently, didn't have a great xmas i had the 'sickness bug'. Hope yours was much better. I've decided not to post about New Year resolutions because honestly how many of us actually stick to them but i do want to put down a few things and hopefully be able to look back on them at the end of the year (having completed them or some of them) and feel i have done something for myself and others.

1. To knit more
2. To blog more.
3. To knit for charity.
4. To make more time for me.

Just 4 for now and see how i go, i am going to keep a record of some of the things i actually get through, will keep this blog updated. Thanks for looking, let me know what you are up to in the New Year. Take care.
